Art Gallery LED Lighting

Art Gallery LED Lighting

At Lumicrest we know that lighting for art galleries and museums is one of the most challenging applications imaginable for LED lights.

Lumicrest was founded by an artist – with technical know-how. We have a passion for art and a passion for light.

Mastering The Art and Science of LED Lighting

Not only do our lights need to operate flawlessly for many hours every day, accuracy of color rendering, beam spread, and appropriate light intensity are all critical factors to successfully illuminating priceless works and antiquities.

Our high quality LED products are up to the task.

For museums and galleries, one of the most compelling benefits of LEDs lighting – beyond the enormous energy
cost savings – is mitigation of damaging UltraViolet (UV) light emissions. LEDs reduce concern of deterioration from ultraviolet (UV) rays, because they have virtually no emission in the UV spectrum.
LED lights also emit much less infrared (heat) than incandescent/halogen lamps, also eliminating risk of damage from a rise in temperature.

Notable Lumicrest gallery clients include the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), The Design Exchange (Canada’s Design Museum), Norton Museum of Art, the University of Rhode Island, the University of Alberta, Saskatchewan Craft Council’s Affinity Gallery, Langara College in Vancouver, Peter Robertson Gallery, Gabriel Dumont Institute, and many more.
