Introducing our new Anvil aluminum profile, designed by Lumicrest. Why is it called the Anvil? It’s based on our new Workhorse profile, but with small anvil-shaped flanges on the sides for recessed mounting. The flanges are to hide any edge imperfections in your recessed groove. At first glance your might say that Anvil looks a lot like other shallow recessed LED profiles on the market. What’s the difference? It’s all in the details.
First, it fits a groove 5/8 of an inch wide. Seems obvious, but the width of other common LED profiles aren’t related to anything in the real world.
Next, the Anvil has a flat-surface diffusing plastic cover, so there’s no crest of light peeking over the sides. And that diffuser is made from a fireproof self-extinguishing polycarbonate material.
The Anvil has guide marks inside to help you lay your LED strip right down the middle. It comes with super low-profile mounting clips that grasp the profile near the base, so they are very discreet, unlike the large unsightly metal clips that come with other LED aluminum channels.
Finally, the Anvil diffuser is identical to our Workhorse recessed profile diffuser, our new Chameleon profile and our mud-in drywall profile. Why does that matter? Lumicrest custom-designed profiles are a family of products with consistent dimensions and interchangeable diffusers. We had so many different diffusers in our warehouse that looked the same but didn’t fit the other profiles that even we were getting confused! So we finally decided to do something about it.
We know sometimes items get misplaced on construction sites. So now you can purchase more diffusers separately from us if you need to (or even add a black diffuser – that’s a thing). If you need to replace lost diffusers, it’s much easier to do when they are interchangeable (finally!)
LED strips up to 12 mm wide fit inside. Perfect for kitchen under-cabinet lighting, display units, cove lighting, and just about anywhere you can imagine. This version has no edge lip, it can be used for surface or recessed mounting. The diffuser presses in from the front (top) of the channel, for easy access, installation and servicing.
This product can be cut to any length. You may do it yourself or request Lumicrest to do it for you.
