Description
This 60 watt power supply can be dimmed using most common 120 volt dimmer switches such as Lutron and Leviton. That’s why we call it “AC dimmable”. Simply connect the output of the dimmer to the input of the power supply, and connect your LED flexible strip to the 24 volt output. It’s engineered with a filtering circuit to eliminates flickering or strobing to ensure smooth seamless operation. It has dedicated wiring compartments at both the input and output sides. It’s compatible with both MLV and ELV dimmers, but can make some audible sound when using MLV type dimmers. Mount in a remote location or use an ELV dimmer if that’s not feasible.
NOTE: This driver requires a 60-70 percent minimum load (about 40 watts) in order to dim properly. In other words, one full reel of Spectrala Standard (9 watt/m) LED strip or one full reel of Builderz LED strip is required.
If you need to dim lower loads (short length or low power LED strips) please select this model: https://lumicrest.com/product/60-watt-dimmable-24v-hardwire-power-supply-1550/ which does not have a minimum load requirement. It also makes no audible sound.
Both the power supply and its matched electrical enclosure are cETLus approved (North American electrical safety standards).
These power supplies require a hardwired connection to your dimmer switch. They work with most commonly available dimmers and meet all safety regulations for use with LED flexible strip.
